Last night, the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce hosted their Annual HONORS Event at the RP Funding Center. Throughout the event, the Lakeland Chamber celebrated its 100-year anniversary and shared new insight into The Works Business Resource Center coming to Lakeland\u2019s \u201cDowntown West,\u201d just 0.25 miles away from Bonnet Springs Park. More information about that project can now be found here<\/a>. Also, several local businesses and community leaders were awarded the Lakeland Chamber\u2019s HONORS and Legacy Awards. Below is a list of the award winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to Explorations V Children\u2019s Museum<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
  • Employer of the Year was awarded to Citizens Bank and Trust.<\/li>
  • Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Ron Britt from Fred\u2019s Market Restaurant.<\/li>
  • Rising Business of the Year was awarded to Ring Roofing. <\/strong><\/li>
  • Businessman of the Year was awarded to Chuck McDanal of Studio C Solutions<\/strong><\/li>
  • Businesswoman of the Year was awarded to Michelle Ledford from MADE Brands<\/strong><\/li>
  • Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to Explorations V Children\u2019s Museum<\/strong><\/li>
  • The Scott Linder Small Business of the Year was awarded to Express Employment Professionals<\/strong><\/li>
  • The George Jenkins Award was awarded to Richard \u201cDick\u201d Mason<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    To end the HONORS event the gavel was passed from previous Board Chair, Matthew Clark of Broadway Real Estate Services to the Lakeland Chamber\u2019s new Board Chair, William T. Link, Jr. of Reed Mawhinney & Link, PLLC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
