The sewer line is located behind the property adjacent to Three Parks Trail. The repair will impact the portion of Three Parks Trail between the Dog Leg Woods Dog Park parking lot and Buckingham Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Richard Ruede, Manager of Waste Water Collection said, \u201cWe have a break in the 24-inch sewer line which handles approximately five-million gallons of wastewater a day.\u00a0 In order to make the repair, we will be shutting down the northbound lanes of Cleveland Heights Boulevard and turning the southbound lanes into two-way traffic.\u00a0 It\u2019s unfortunate but this has to be done in order to bypass the original sewer line to make the repairs.\u201d\u00a0 He added, \u201cA small portion of Three Parks Trail will also be shut down because there will be a lot of activity and heavy equipment in operation.\u201d\u00a0 Crews will work over the weekend setting up the bypass pipe so the break can be repaired. The bypass is expected to be completed by Monday. The adjacent sidewalk along the east side of Cleveland Heights Boulevard will be closed as well. Traffic control starts setting up this road closure beginning this Friday, July 26<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0and the closure could be in place through the following week. Traffic on Cleveland Heights Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction and both directions will be re-routed to the south-bound side of the roadway. \u00a0There is already a lane closure in place just to the south of this location for another project. Traffic control will make sure that the setup is compatible with the existing lane closure. The actual repair location is about 29 feet east of Cleveland Heights Boulevard but crews will need to set up the bypass pumps at the upstream manhole which is right in the middle of the two northbound travel lanes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>City of Lakeland crews will start an emergency sewer repair located behind 817 Carleton Street over the weekend.
