They will serve in the Planning and Training Division respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Huff_Jennifer-L245.jpg?w=1110&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"11146\" data-link=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?attachment_id=11146\" class=\"wp-image-11146\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Gorokhov_Yevgeniy-G196.jpg?w=1110&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"11147\" data-link=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?attachment_id=11147\" class=\"wp-image-11147\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDeputy Chief Huff\u2019s promotion is a huge milestone for Polk County Fire Rescue,\u201d Weech said. \u201cIn a profession dominated by men, Huff has stood out, broken her own ground and deserves this position \u2013 not because of her gender, but by her skill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Huff, who began her career in 1995 as a volunteer firefighter, climbed the ranks over the years as an emergency medical technician and paramedic, to firefighter, engineer, lieutenant, battalion chief and now deputy chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She will join Deputy Chief Gorokhov as members of the Executive Command Staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDeputy Chief Gorokhov has a proven record as an operational battalion chief as well as a proven leader in various administrative functions,\u201d Weech added. \u201cTheir combined knowledge and experience will be a huge benefit to our organization.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gorokhov, who is originally from Siberia, Russia, began his career as a volunteer with Polk County Fire Rescue in 2002 as a firefighter before being hired full time in 2005.
