U.S. News & World Report<\/strong><\/em> RanksLakeland Regional Health #21 in Florida, #1 in Lakeland and is a Recognized leader in Central Florida. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Out of 269 Florida hospitals listed in the Best Regional Hospital listing, Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center earned a spot among the top 25 in the state and was recognized as High Performing in the following four areas: Colon Cancer Surgery, Knee Replacement, Heart Failure, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lakeland Regional Health<\/a>\u00a0Medical Center is Florida\u2019s fifth largest hospital. Founded in 1916 as Morrell Memorial Hospital, this 864-bed, comprehensive tertiary referral hospital operates the Jack and Tina Harrell Family Institute for Advanced Cardiovascular Medicine; a Level II Trauma Center; the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children, which includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and the Bannasch Institute for Advanced Rehabilitation Medicine.
