The conference, which will be about all things Bigfoot and Skunk Ape, is slated to have guests from Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, including \u201cFinding Bigfoot\u201d\u2019s Cliff Barackman and James &#8220;Bobo&#8221; Fay.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/greatFLbigfoot\/photos\/111341114031128\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cryptozoologists, investigators and MythBusters alike are heading south for the summer to the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/gatherupevents.com\/florida-bigfoot-conference\/\" target=\"_blank\">Great Florida Bigfoot Conference<\/a>, going down in Lakeland in July. (Surely a Bigfoot-friendly city if there ever was one.)<br><br>The focus will be on all things Bigfoot and (of more pressing importance locally)\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smithsonianmag.com\/science-nature\/trail-floridas-bigfoot-skunk-ape-180949981\/\" target=\"_blank\">Skunk Ape<\/a>\u00a0at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland during this one-day event on July 10. The guest list includes headliners Cliff Barackman and James &#8220;Bobo&#8221; Fay from the Animal Planet series\u00a0Finding Bigfoot,\u00a0Ryan &#8220;RPG&#8221; Golembeske from\u00a0Finding Bigfoot and the Discovery Channel&#8217;s\u00a0Expedition Bigfoot, as well as local experts in the Bigfoot and Skunk Ape phenomena Stacy Brown, David Sidoti, and Robert Robinson.<br><br>Pointedly not invited, sadly, is Gatorland&#8217;s safety-conscious\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandoweekly.com\/orlando\/best-new-theme-park-attraction\/BestOf?oid=27834368\" target=\"_blank\">Social Distancing Skunk Ape<\/a>.<br><br>The organizers&#8217; inaugural event, the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference in 2019, drew nearly 1,600 attendees.<br><br><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/gatherupevents.com\/florida-bigfoot-conference-tickets\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tickets for the Great Florida Bigfoot Conference<\/a>\u00a0are available now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Great Florida Bigfoot Conference is happening on July 10 at the RP Funding Center.
