Barbados met office recorded sustained winds of 75 mph gusting to 87 mph, with a barometric pressure of 995 mb early this morning. This storm is wasting no time as she races west-northwest at 28 mph as it enters the eastern Caribbean sea. Her eyes are set for the southeastern United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hurricane Elsa must thread the eye of a needle to avoid any land interaction as she approaches the islands of Hispaniola, Cuba, and Jamaica in the next 48 hours.
