Gloria A. Ayuba, DO<\/strong> <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Gloria A. Ayuba, DO\u00a0<\/strong>joins the Cardiology team at the Watson Clinic Main location at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Dr. Ayuba received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in Cardiovascular Medicine from A.T. Still University\/Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. She completed an Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at Beaumont Health in Michigan. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Echocardiography.\u00a0 In addition, she is board-certified by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology and the Certification Board of Cardiac Computed Tomography.\u00a0 Her areas of expertise include general cardiology, cardiac computed tomography, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and valvular heart disease. Leonard J. Gitter, MD <\/strong>has joined the Oncology-Hematology team at the Watson\nClinic Cancer & Research Center at 1730 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland,\nFL. Dr. Gitter received his medical degree from the renowned Technion\nInstitute of Technology Faculty of Medicine In Haifa, Israel. He completed\nan Internal Medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center\/New\nYork Medical College in New York, NY and NYU Winthrop University Hospital\nin Mineola, NY. Vindya Gunawardena, MD <\/strong>is the newest member of Watson Clinic\u2019s expert Endocrinology\ndepartment.  Dr. Gunawardena received her medical degree from The George\nWashington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington,\nDC.  She went on to complete both her residency in Internal Medicine and a\nfellowship in Endocrinology\/Diabetes Medicine at the University of South\nFlorida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. She is board-certified in\nInternal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Her areas\nof expertise include diabetes management, insulin pump therapy, continuous\nglucose monitoring, transgender medicine, as well as calcium, thyroid, adrenal\nand pituitary disorders. Mammography Radiologist\u00a0Mariam Hanna, MD\u00a0<\/strong>joins the team at the Watson Clinic Women\u2019s Center at 1400 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Dr. Hanna received her medical degree from Florida State College of Medicine in Tallahassee, FL. She completed her internship at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She went on to perform both a Radiology residency and a Breast Imaging Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.\u00a0 She is board-certified in Radiology, Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, and is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Jones received his medical\ndegree from the East Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville, NC, where\nhe also performed his residency in Internal Medicine. He went on to complete a\nfellowship in Cardiology from the Marshall University School of Medicine\nin Huntington, WV, and an additional fellowship in Clinical Cardiac\nElectrophysiology at the University of Chicago in Chicago, IL.\nHis expertise is the diagnosis and management of cardiac rhythm\ndisorders including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia,\nventricular tachycardia as well as device management for patients that need\npacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices to regulate\ntheir heart rhythms.
