The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stolen vehicle and attempted ATM theft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These crimes were committed by two unknown males at about 4:30 Friday morning, July 23rd, in Lakeland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Ford F550 flatbed truck was stolen from a business located next to the Bank of America at 5001 South Florida Avenue. Chains were used to link the ATM to the Ford in an attempt to remove the money machine. An attempt was also made to pry open the ATM to access the money, but the duo failed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone having any information about these crimes is asked to contact Detective Ramos at 863-499-2400 (Case #21-30470). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
