of Lakeland, FL &#8211; Government<\/a> for over 30 Years! Big Walt spent much of his career working in our schools as a School Resource Officer and connecting with kids at all levels, from elementary school to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FloridaSouthern\/?__cft__[0]=AZXCEkgqQw53cZBy6U2fPz4Yi54jOm2r07HrZgfQyfKtMz7IlulYg7iA2dCXKtUqo1-uA8dDKZ__QagbcMRd3oN-i-mB35BQ2XcSmEK_un5tM9l5g3_fQ1RchUx_MHm8IQ5-joTqGapE8_bfay0_Lj2_RaHbVVjO7gSsDJEITbaXSlWVVyCFQMsgBpRRezzBCjo&amp;__tn__=kK-R\">Florida Southern College<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officer Dennis is one of the kindest and funniest people to ever walk the halls of the Lakeland Police Department. We are a better agency because of his service and our City a better place because of his dedication to helping others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We wish Walt ALL THE BEST on a VERY HAPPY and WELL-DESERVED retirement! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We know he is going to enjoy spending more time with his family!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some Goodbyes are Harder Than Others.
