{"id":15173,"date":"2021-09-23T09:48:53","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T13:48:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=15173"},"modified":"2021-09-23T09:49:15","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T13:49:15","slug":"polk-county-roads-drainage-project-will-close-a-portion-of-ariana-street","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2021\/09\/23\/polk-county-roads-drainage-project-will-close-a-portion-of-ariana-street\/","title":{"rendered":"POLK COUNTY ROADS &#038; DRAINAGE PROJECT WILL CLOSE A PORTION OF ARIANA STREET"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Polk County Division of Roads &amp; Drainage will start a project on Wednesday, September 29<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0that will close Ariana Street between South Grady Avenue and Faye Avenue for approximately 45 days to allow construction of a 200\u2019 retaining wall on the north side of Ariana Street.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"344\" height=\"245\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 344px) 100vw, 344px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screenshot.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screenshot.png 344w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Screenshot-300x214.png 300w\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project will also include the installation of storm drainage in the roadway with a manhole.\u00a0 City of Lakeland Traffic Operations will monitor the signalized intersection at Harden\/Sikes Boulevard at Ariana Street along with the intersection at Sikes Boulevard and Central Avenue and make temporary signal timing changes during the construction if necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Polk County Division of Roads &amp; Drainage,\u00a0traffic will detour along S. Westgate Avenue or Southern Avenue depending on the direction of travel (see attached detour map).
