Butterfield has been appointed to serve on the newly formed Workgroup on Access to Justice.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"190\" height=\"266\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Stacy-Butterfield-Polk-Clerk-of-Court.jpg?resize=190%2C266&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15514\"\/><figcaption>Stacy Butterfield Polk Clerk of Court<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida Supreme Court Chief Justice Charles Canady of Lakeland made the appointment. In an administrative order, Canady directs the workgroup to develop educational materials that will assist self-represented litigants in participating in court proceedings that are conducted using remote technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The order also directs the new workgroup to address electronic filing by self-represented litigants. Justice Jorge Labarga will serve as chair of the workgroup, continuing the role he held for the former Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice with the new nine-member Workgroup comprising four judges and five members representing the legal community and justice partners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court &amp; Comptroller Stacy M.
