Law enforcement showed up with armored cars, tear gas, rubber bullets!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n “Is this for the greater good of Lakeland?”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Some people parked their cars in the turn lanes from Florida Avenue onto Memorial Boulevard, turning up the stereo on a song that has become an anthem for protesters across the country: \u201cF— The Police\u201d by N.W.A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Just before 5:30 pm, Florida Highway Patrol officers and an LPD armored personnel carrier arrived and repeatedly ordered the crowd to stop blocking the intersection, telling them to get on the sidewalk. An LPD crowd control team of about 18 officers marched south on Florida Avenue, wearing helmets and carrying shields.
