The description of Barksdale&#8217;s North Carolina warrant read &#8220;assault on a female.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barksdale wrote that he is resigning &#8220;in the best interest to the City of Orlando due to the languishing legal process with resolving the allegations&#8221; against him in North Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He went on to say thank you for the opportunity to serve as chief.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Orlando fire Chief Benjamin Barksdale has submitted his resignation.
