George Jenkins Blvd. (Watermain Break)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

City of Lakeland, Florida (November 10, 2021) <\/strong>\u2014 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(SR 548)<\/strong> George Jenkins Blvd. between (SR 539)<\/strong> Kathleen Rd. and N. Brunnell Parkway is closed in all directions as well as Sloan Ave. at Lake Beulah Dr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anticipated re-opening is projected for 10am Thursday 11\/11\/21 and could be sooner if repairs go well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water Distribution crews are at George Jenkins Boulevard and Veterans Avenue to repair a water main break.\u00a0 The older concreate line failed most likely due to age. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crews are excavating the area now to get to the break.\u00a0The roadway of George Jenkins Boulevard is closed from Brunnell Parkway to Sloan Avenue until further notice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Traffic operations has established a detour to help move vehicular traffic in the work zone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is estimated the work will take several hours to complete and could go on through the night.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time there is very minimal impact to residents but businesses in the area may be without water during the repair.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
