The Moccasins, who were one of three teams to receive a first-place vote in the poll, were also ranked No. 4 to begin last season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mocs have now been ranked in the top five of the GCAA Preseason Coaches Poll in five-straight seasons, and are coming off a national semifinal appearance a year ago when Michael VanDerLaan won the individual national championship. Florida Southern is one of five Sunshine State Conference schools to earn a spot in the top 10 of this year&#8217;s preseason coaches poll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lynn, last year&#8217;s national champion, was picked to repeate with 459 points and 14 first-place votes, while Barry came in a close second with 448 points and five first-place votes.
