Sheriff Grady Judd briefed the media this morning from the scene of a deputy-involved shooting in Mulberry. Sheriff Grady Judd “Our deputies shot them and we shot a lot.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A police chase that began in Bowling Green this morning ended in Mulberry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Persons involved are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suspect 1 – Driver of the fleeing vehicle – James Carlton Hillburn, Jr., DOB 12\/16\/1993, of Riverview; He currently has 3 out-of-count warrants with 6 total charges: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (2 counts), robbery, petit theft, battery domestic violence, and failure to appear for battery domestic violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suspect 2 – Passenger in the fleeing vehicle – Justin Alan Norris, DOB 12\/11\/1995, of Dover; he has an out-of-county warrant for failure to appear for burglary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PCSO Lieutenant William “Billy” Strickland, 49 years old, 20 years of service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PCSO Deputy Sheriff Britton “Alex” Watson, 32 years old, 7 years of service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PCSO Deputy Sheriff Dylan Harrison, 27 years old, 2 years of service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hillburn was shot in the face and grazed by bullets on both legs. He’s in a medically induced coma, stable but critical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Norris was shot in the leg and grazed on both arms. He was treated and released from a local hospital and is being booked in to the Polk County Jail at this time on his outstanding warrant<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
