This gives her the ability to create a unique and diverse body of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"698\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Charly-Malpass-a.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17968\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Charly-Malpass-a.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Charly-Malpass-a-300x209.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Charly-Malpass-a-768x536.jpg 768w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On canvas, her process begins by writing a poem then allowing her words to come to life through each painting.&nbsp;Building&nbsp;layers of transparent glazes and opaque highlights, she is able to create realistic impressions which exhibit a strong sense of passion and history, while her soft brush strokes and deep color palette give each piece an ethereal quality.&nbsp;&nbsp;Malpass enjoys exploring her feelings with imagery to recreate the raw beauty of nature; whether it be light glimmering on the water or the moon rising in the night&#8217;s sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her murals feature lush canopies and vibrant flowers in a bold and expressive style. She is currently collaborating with Encore Paint, a company that collects material from hazardous waste centers turning old, discarded paint into new, usable paint for artists. Sustainability has been a major theme in her recent projects.
