{"id":19075,"date":"2022-01-11T16:37:13","date_gmt":"2022-01-11T21:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=19075"},"modified":"2022-01-11T16:37:40","modified_gmt":"2022-01-11T21:37:40","slug":"lakeland-city-employees-must-wear-masks-in-building-and-vehicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2022\/01\/11\/lakeland-city-employees-must-wear-masks-in-building-and-vehicles\/","title":{"rendered":"Lakeland City Employees MUST wear masks in building and vehicles"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of 1\/12\/2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lakeland officials implementing stronger COVID policies as cases rise across Polk County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>On Tuesday, Lakeland City Manager Shawn Sherrouse re-implemented face mask requirements for all city employees who are inside or using a city-owned vehicle and unable to maintain a social distance of at least six feet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"660\" height=\"372\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mask-1.jpg?resize=660%2C372&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19077\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mask-1.jpg?w=660&amp;ssl=1 660w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/mask-1.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, all city employees will have their temperatures screened upon entering any city-owned building. Those individuals who are unable to wear a mask because of medical conditions will be provided with a face mask, according to the policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;These protocols are necessary to protect our city workforce,&#8221; Sherrouse wrote in his email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Lakeland has continuously screened all visitors to City Hall&nbsp;for COVID with temperature checks and a questionnaire since the pandemic began.
