The record-setting auction claims title as the first collector car auction ever to surpass $200 million in sales for a single event. What has long been known as the world\u2019s largest continues to be the world\u2019s most successful as well, highlighted by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$217 million in sales\u2014the highest total ever achieved at a single collector car auction<\/li><li>All 11 days recording single-day auction records for the Kissimmee event<\/li><li>A 90% overall sell-through rate\u2014the highest overall percentage ever recorded for the<br>Kissimmee event<\/li><li>Saturday, Jan. 15 marking Mecum\u2019s highest single-day auction total in company history with $72 million in sales and nine vehicles reaching seven-figure prices<\/li><li>A total of 13 vehicles achieving seven-figure sale prices<\/li><li>More than $213 million in vehicle-only sales with 2,954 vehicles changing hands\u2014the most<br>ever sold at a single live collector car auction<\/li><li>$2.66 million in Road Art sales with 1,262 items changing hands<\/li><li>The successful launch of the new Mecum and MotorTrend partnership with viewership<br>reaching an all-time record for Mecum Auctions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leading all sales for the event was the 1965 Shelby GT350R Prototype (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487872\/1965-shelby-gt350r-prototype\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S160)<\/a>\u2014recognized as the most historically significant Shelby Mustang in the world and driven by Ken Miles to claim its \u201cFlying Mustang\u201d moniker. Selling for $3.75 million, the car proved to hold its value with its triumphant return to public market, and it successfully retained its crown as the most valuable mustang in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just shy of landing that top seat among high sellers at $3.3 million was a 194-mile 2020 McLaren Speedtail (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487851\/2020-mclaren-speedtail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S146<\/a>) from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/auctions\/kissimmee-2022\/collections\/michael-fux-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Michael Fux Collection<\/a>&nbsp;that is one of just 106 built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Main attractions took center stage and exceeded expectations, highlighted, perhaps most notably, by the 1951 Hirohata Mercury Custom (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487726\/1951-hirohata-mercury-custom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S152<\/a>)\u2014the iconic custom built by Sam and George Barris and arguably the most famous custom car of the classic era\u2014which sold for $2.15 million. The 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487857\/1994-porsche-911-turbo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S164<\/a>) that was featured in the film \u201cBad Boys\u201d and is one of fewer than 350 produced for the U.S. market in 1994 became another leader among top sales at $1.43 million.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/auctions\/kissimmee-2022\/collections\/jerry-brewis-estate-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Jerry Brewis Estate Collection&nbsp;<\/a>of 45 modern supercars amassed more than $12 million in total sales. Among the leading sellers was a trio of Ford GTs: a 2018 Heritage Edition (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487737\/2018-ford-gt-67-heritage-edition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S245<\/a>) showing just 7 miles that sold for $1.32 million, a 2006 black-on-black model (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487749\/2006-ford-gt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S255<\/a>) that sold for $550,000, and a 2005 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487748\/2005-ford-gt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S254.1<\/a>) with just 255 miles that sold for $495,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other top sales from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/auctions\/kissimmee-2022\/collections\/jerry-brewis-estate-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brewis collection<\/a>&nbsp;included a 2017 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487746\/2017-lamborghini-aventador-lp700-4-roadster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S253<\/a>) with just 161 miles that brought $737,000, and three cars that sold for $440,000 each: a 2015 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487740\/2015-lamborghini-aventador-lp700-4-roadster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S248<\/a>), a 2009 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487739\/2009-lamborghini-murcielago-lp640-roadster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S247<\/a>) and a 2017 McLaren 570S (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487743\/2017-mclaren-570s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lot S250<\/a>).<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/auctions\/kissimmee-2022\/collections\/jackie-and-gary-runyon-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Jackie and Gary Runyon Collection<\/a>&nbsp;of 31 vehicles totaled more than $10.7 million in sales with a 2016 Pagani Huayra (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487708\/2016-pagani-huayra\/\">Lot S115<\/a>) topping the list. One of just 100 produced and showing just 725 miles, the car sold for $2.12 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Runyon\u2019s 1936 White Model 706 Glacier National Park Tour Bus (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487710\/1936-white-model-706-glacier-national-park-tour-bus\/\">Lot S132<\/a>), famous for driving tourists up Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, sold for $1.43 million. Also included in the collection was the 1964 Dragula Munsters Coffin Dragster (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487702\/1964-dragula-munsters-coffin-dragster\/\">Lot S130<\/a>) built by George Barris, which sold for $473,000, and the 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-487687\/1967-chevrolet-corvette-coupe\/\">Lot S113<\/a>) known as the \u201cVault Find\u201d Corvette, which brought $418,000.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/auctions\/kissimmee-2022\/collections\/gary-thomas-collection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Gary Thomas Collection<\/a>&nbsp;of 32 cars, nearly all of which were red iterations of the Ford Mustang, resulted in $5.76 million in sales, with a special-order Race Red 2019 Ford GT (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-493843\/2019-ford-gt\/\">Lot F181<\/a>) showing just 12 miles on the odometer selling for $1.02 million, and a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mecum.com\/lots\/FL0122-493845\/1969-ford-mustang-boss-429-fastback\/\">Lot F183<\/a>) that wears KK No. 1893 selling for $407,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
