This effect to our workforce directly hinders our ability to provide services over the long-term, impacts our health care costs, and expands our overtime budgets. Our City values a culture of health and wellness. We know, through our health experts, that the best way to combat this pandemic is through vaccinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTo further encourage vaccinations, all full-time benefits-eligible employees who completed the full COVID-19 vaccination series (second dose for Pfizer and Moderna \/ one dose for Johnson &amp; Johnson) and have voluntarily uploaded their vaccination card in PeopleSoft (instructions attached), sent a copy through interdepartmental mail or have hand delivered a copy to Human Resources by January 31, 2022 <strong>will receive two (2) vaccine incentive leave days (Floating Holidays).<\/strong> The Floating Holidays must be used by December 31, 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lakeland Gazette recently asked Kevin Cook Director of Communications of City of Lakeland a few questions on COVID and the policy with employees of the city.
