Steve Maxwell, the inheritance baby \u201cAINO\u201d guy, and his so-called County Citizens Defending Freedom (CCDF) want to prevent your children from reading certain books by banning them from your school library.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n I struggle to relate with this level of weak petty hatred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I can\u2019t imagine what it\u2019s like to hate black people and gay people or people \u201cdifferent\u201d from you so much that you use Big Government to prevent other people\u2019s kids<\/em> from encountering their fictional experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Imagine thinking about sex of much \u2014 and hating the idea of black people so much \u2014 that you want to ban Nobel laureate Toni Morrison\u2019s classic post-slavery novel Beloved<\/em> as pornography<\/em>.<\/strong> It\u2019s been in every American library for 35 years. Cat\u2019s out of the bag on that one, sex-obsessed haters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Likewise, I can\u2019t imagine what it\u2019s like to hate your neighbors or your fellow church-goers or your friends or your co-workers or your kids or your spouse so much that you would describe them as \u201cAmericans in Name Only\u201d \u2014 A.I.N.Os \u2014 if they disagree you about public health policy \u2014 or any other policy. But here it is; and here he is. That\u2019s what Steve Maxwell says he believes in his own words.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Key excerpt:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n He insisted that the mask mandate marked a divide between two Americas: one made of \u201creal Americans\u201d who believed in \u201creal American values\u201d such as those enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, and \u201cAmericans In-Name Only,\u201d or AINOs, who remain complicit with \u201cglobalists\u201d and \u201cBig Tech\u201d to \u201cradically change\u201d America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Frog march your friendly neighborhood media specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Maxwell and Hannah Peterson and CCDF \u201canus people,\u201d who apparently think about sex and pornography 24\/7<\/a>, are hoping to get librarians and teachers arrested for these books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the email, Heid said a \u201cstakeholder group\u201d \u2014 later identified as County Citizens Defending Freedom<\/a> \u2014 requested the books be removed from the shelves because the group\u2019s members allege they contain material harmful to minors which would violate Florida statute 847.012<\/a>, which involves distribution of \u201charmful materials\u201d to minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The statute reads, in part, \u201cAny book, pamphlet, magazine, printed matter however reproduced, or sound recording, that contains any matter \u2026 [with ] explicit and detailed verbal descriptions or narrative accounts of sexual excitement, or sexual conduct and that is harmful to minors\u201d is prohibited from being distributed to minors; those accused of violating the statute could face a felony in the third degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They want teachers and media specialists to think they\u2019ll frog-march them out the media center in handcuffs because some kid checks out the Kite Runner.<\/em> These are not decent people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They are here to dominate you and me; and the only way to respond to this level of pure, substance-free dominance-ritual bad faith is with equally absurd and escalated moral confrontation. I\u2019m here for it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m buying these books and giving them to any kid who wants them. Come arrest me, Grady. Please.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I suspect it would be Grady Judd carrying out the media center\/arrests over the existence of Two Boys Kissing<\/em>. Grady\u2019s never been shy about showy political abuse of his power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With that in mind I sent a question to Sheriff\u2019s Office spokesman Scott Wilder, for whom I will always great respect and affection (although I wonder what he thinks he\u2019s doing these days), asking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n I personally own a few of the books on the book-ban list with Polk Schools.
