I wasn\u2019t expecting it, that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe landlord informed me that my lease is up in August and she is not planning to renew it. She has plans for somebody else\u201d to lease the space, Altman said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-story building at the intersection of Tennessee and Main Street has three ground-floor businesses and is owned by Katherine Lake<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;\u201cTheir lease expires at the end of August \u2014 August 31st \u2014 and, yes, it is not being renewed. There is another entity that is going to be moving into that space,\u201d Lake said Thursday. \u201cI did last week touch bases with (Altman) to remind him the lease expires and to let him know it would not be renewed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lake said it was NOT an easy decision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Silver Ring is \u201ca long-standing piece of the community. I know a lot of people will be disappointed. At the same time, I\u2019m excited with all the changes happening in downtown Lakeland,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lake said she expects to reveal the new tenant in \u201cthree or four months\u201d and that it will fit in with \u201cthe bigger picture with the changes that are coming that will be good for downtown.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A phone number (863) 333-5120 to get a hold of Katherine Lake.
