When he made a right turn from his parked position, his vehicle struck Robin Diffenderfer, 23, while she was lying on her back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The young woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deputy Brien, who has been employed with the Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s since 2013, was reportedly not injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also according to the sheriff\u2019s office, there will be an investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Paul Waldmiller Did you know that a Florida deputy ran over a beachgoer lying on the sand?
