At Tuesday\u2019s Polk County Board of County Commissioners meeting, county commissioners accepted the grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Foundation_Logo-RGB_400x400.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22616\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Foundation_Logo-RGB_400x400.png 400w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Foundation_Logo-RGB_400x400-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Foundation_Logo-RGB_400x400-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Foundation_Logo-RGB_400x400-250x250.png 250w\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith close to 555 freshwater lakes within Polk County alone, this new HURST Equipment will serve as a major asset for Polk County Fire Rescue personnel,\u201d Chief Robert Weech said. \u201cOur personnel will be able to use this new HURST extrication equipment for a variety of rescue efforts without having to worry about damaging the tool due to prolonged water exposure in the field.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"380\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/S-788EWXT-Cutter_left.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22615\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/S-788EWXT-Cutter_left.png 690w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/S-788EWXT-Cutter_left-300x165.png 300w\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Extrication equipment allows emergency rescue personnel to remove victims from their vehicle if they were involved in an accident or for other rescues involving victims that are entrapped within a small space.
