Julie Jenkins Fancelli Daughter of George Jenkins is a part-time Lakeland resident, and figures in new revelations from the congressional committee investigating Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol attack.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Washington Post<\/a> reported Tuesday that Fancelli provided $60,000 that was paid to Kimberly Guilfoyle<\/a>, the fianc\u00e9e of Donald Trump Jr., for a brief speech at the \u201cStop the Steal\u201d rally at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021. The U.S. House Jan. 6 Select Committee is exploring evidence that people in the circle of former President Donald Trump benefited financially from money generated from Trump\u2019s false claims of election fraud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Post reported that Fancelli has testified before the House committee. Fancelli pleaded to the Fifth Amendment, which provides protection against incriminating oneself, CNN reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fancelli declined to comment Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Washington Post previously reported that Fancelli wired $650,000 in December 2020 to groups organizing the Jan. 6 rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
