It\u2019s been was tweeted by Nikki Fried, a Democratic candidate for Governor of Florida.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I&#39;m posting this with her mother&#39;s permission because I need everyone to see what Ron DeSantis\u2019 Florida really looks like. <br><br>13 year olds being arrested for protesting for their own freedom. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SmE6zA2SUk\">pic.twitter.com\/SmE6zA2SUk<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Nikki Fried (@NikkiFried) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NikkiFried\/status\/1544069706570764296?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 4, 2022<\/a><\/blockquote> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video begins the moment Lillie Johnson was taken into custody as a crowd shouted, \u201cMy body, My choice!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lillie&#8217;s Court date Aug 9 for 2nd-degree misdemeanor charge for a noise ordinance violation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you what to help Lillie&#8217;s defense: Paypal crunchychicken83@gmail.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lillie\u2019s father, Mike Johnson, who was not at the rally, said he was proud of his daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lillie\u2019s attorney, David Haas, said the case will proceed to juvenile court if the State Attorney\u2019s Office files a case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThen we\u2019ll see if there are any challenges to the ordinate itself on a first amendment basis and see if it\u2019s even applicable to what the allegations are here,\u201d said Haas.\u00a0 He is not related to State Attorney Brian Haas. \u201cMy understanding there\u2019s \u2014 I need to look at the ordinance \u2014 there\u2019s some decibel amount contained in it and it\u2019s supposed to pertain to screeching tires and loud music.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lakeland Police Department spokeswoman Robin Tillett said since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned federal protections on abortion, hundreds of people have peacefully protested in various locations throughout the city.
