Both the mayor and the individual whom the mayor allegedly had stricken with the rake were assisting with a cleanup at Orlando Park after Hurricane Ian. The victim was said to be filming Mayor Berkman on his phone at a pavilion in the park after Berman made several comments about \u2018kicking his a**.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police did not immediately release the root issue of the alleged attack by Berkman, but stated that the victim\u2019s cellphone video lined up with the victim\u2019s statements to the officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The victim stated to officers that he wished to pursue criminal charges against Mayor Berkman. He was arrested and faces misdemeanor battery charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Berkman is currently out on $500 bond.&nbsp; He is due to appear in court on October 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Paul Waldmiller Did you know that a Florida mayor was arrested after Hurricane Ian for beating another man with a rake during a park cleanup?
