DRC our FEMA debris contractor estimates there are 150,000 to 200,000 cubic yards of Hurricane Ian debris to be collected in the Lakeland City Limits.<\/p>\n\n\n

As of October 18th, 31,700 cubic yards of debris have been collected and delivered to our Debris Management Site at Glendale the Waste Water Facility for processing and grinding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current FEMA Truck \/ Equipment Count in the city: 10 Grapple Trucks & 4 Dump Trailers, 2 Bobcats, 2 large front-end loaders & 4 Bucket Trucks. There are 5 City claw trucks also assisting.<\/p>\n\n\n

The debris contractors estimate the first pass of all City streets will be completed by November 14th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many communities including some state agencies that could not get any FEMA debris contractors because of the greater need and concentrated debris management effort in Southwest Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
