The storm is now expected to become a hurricane by Wednesday evening before making landfall somewhere along Florida&#8217;s East Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Current estimates put Nicole&#8217;s winds at 75 mph within 60 hours, making it a Category 1 hurricane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/text\/refresh\/MIATCPAT2+shtml\/070859.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">Nicole<\/a>\u00a0formed northeast of the Bahamas early Monday morning and could reach Florida&#8217;s east coast later this week as a strong tropical storm or even a hurricane, according to the\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nhc.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Hurricane Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0National Hurricane Center\u00a0has issued hurricane and storm surge watches for\u00a0most of Florida&#8217;s East Coast.
