The Moccasins finished the day 7-1 in singles play and 3-1 in doubles play. The squad will now turn its attention to the ITA South Regional this upcoming weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>In singles flight No. 1,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/pham_brandon_913z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brandon Pham<\/a>&nbsp;defeated Juan Marrero of Keiser in three sets (6-1, 3-6, 10-6) to win the seventh-place match.<\/li><li>In singles flight No. 2,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/nordblom_erik\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Erik Nordblom<\/a>&nbsp;defeated Umberto Rosi of Palm Beach Atlantic in a tight three-set contest (7-5, 1-6, 12-10) to win the seventh-place match.<\/li><li>In singles flight No. 3,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/hertweck_valentin_pgxm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Valentin Hertweck<\/a>&nbsp;earned third place by defeating Gabe Hocevar of Lynn in two sets (6-4, 6-2).<\/li><li>In singles flight No. 4,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/pham_brian_rom9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brian Pham<\/a>&nbsp;earned third place by defeating Mikel Baumann of Rollins in three sets (7-5, 1-6, 13-11) and Cvjetan earned fifth place by defeating Nicolas Cabrera of Lyn in an equally close three-set match (6-4, 2-6, 13-11).<\/li><li>In singles flight No. 5,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/sohl_oscar_r05x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oscar Sohl<\/a>&nbsp;won fifth place with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Biel Roca of Keiser.<\/li><li>In singles flight No. 6, Martin was victorious over teammate&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mten\/2019-20\/bios\/thomas_danny_mlb8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Danny Thomas<\/a>&nbsp;by walkover, giving the freshman his first tournament flight win as a Moccasin.<\/li><li>In doubles flight No. 1, the Pham twins fell 8-3 to Turosienski and Ferraris of Keiser in the seventh-place match.<\/li><li>In doubles flight No. 2, Hertweck and Nordblom were winners of the third-place match against Danielson and McLeod of Rollins in an 8-4 contest.<\/li><li>In doubles flight No. 3 Martin continued his finals success, pairing with Cvjetan to take down Perez and Bilis of Saint Leo in a close 8-6 match.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UP NEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Moccasins will travel to Pensacola on Friday, Sept. 27 for the ITA South Regional.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Southern College men&#8217;s tennis excelled on the final day of action at the Sailfish Invitational on Sunday, with&nbsp;Chase Martin&nbsp;emerging victorious in the No. 6 singles flight final and pairing&hellip;
