The event is hosted by Columbus State University, and being played at the Country Club of Columbus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mocs shot a 289 (+5) in the first round on Monday morning, before returning with a tournament low 273 (-11) in the second round Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Individually, sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mgolf\/2019-20\/bios\/tucker_johnny_kxkf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Johnny Tucker<\/a>&nbsp;has been red hot, and his combined four-under is tied for second best, just three strokes off the lead. Tucker shot a one-under 70 in the first round, then a three-under 68 in the second round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Freshman&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mgolf\/2019-20\/bios\/fosdick_chris_b16d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chris Fosdick<\/a>&nbsp;went 71-69-140, and sits in a tie for tenth place at -2. Sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mgolf\/2019-20\/bios\/coutsolioutsos_max_a32m\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Max Coutsolioutsos<\/a>&nbsp;is also under par through two, at -1. His 74-67has him tied for 13<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Redshirt freshman&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mgolf\/2019-20\/bios\/alvarez_adam_yk4k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Adam Alvarez<\/a>&nbsp;shot 74-70-144 (+2), and is tied for 31<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two-day, three-round event concludes tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 9:00 a.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Florida Southern College men&#8217;s golf team sits atop the 17-team field after the second round of the 2019 Cougar Invitational presented by AFLAC.
