So that&#8217;s what we did,&#8221; Principal Myra\nRichardson said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A little more than two weeks later, Woodall had transformed\nthe once-drab&nbsp;walls&nbsp;into works of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Took the\u00a0inspiration\u00a0of the kids&#8217; imagination and just kind of threw it on the wall,&#8221; said Woodall. &#8220;To make them feel like they have something to inspire them throughout the day.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has been a tattoo artist at Holy Grail Tattoo Shop for\nfour years.&nbsp;He grew up with a&nbsp;pencil&nbsp;and paintbrush in his\nhands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My grandfather was an artist, my Aunt was an artist, kind of runs in the family,&#8221; Woodall said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now he is using his skills to help students learn life\nlessons through art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;My hope is when they get to the restrooms that they\nfeel encouraged and that they feel better when they leave,&#8221; said\nRichardson. &#8220;The kids feel more comfortable when they enter and they leave.\nThere&#8217;s less interruptions, less distractions in the restrooms, at this\npoint.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Woodall said it&#8217;s all about inspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It just allows me to help people, inspire them,\nwhether young or old, to be free with their imagination and not to forget that\neven though life is hard sometimes, you still got to have fun,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By\u00a0Kelly Ring, FOX 13 News With the&nbsp;stroke of a brush and some paint, tattoo artist Izic Woodall is changing young minds at Medulla Elementary School in Lakeland.
