{"id":29186,"date":"2023-01-21T12:57:15","date_gmt":"2023-01-21T17:57:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=29186"},"modified":"2023-01-21T12:57:20","modified_gmt":"2023-01-21T17:57:20","slug":"double-dognapper-caught-on-camera-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2023\/01\/21\/double-dognapper-caught-on-camera-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Double dognapper caught on camera arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Lakeland woman was arrested Thursday, accused of a double dognapping that was captured on camera, according to the Polk County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=389&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpolkcountysheriff%2Fvideos%2F563191578776813%2F&#038;show_text=false&#038;width=560&#038;t=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"389\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sherry Comer, 49, was recognized by someone who saw that footage after the dogs\u2019 owner posted it to Facebook on Wednesday, the same day the theft was reported, deputies said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Polk detectives showed up at Comer\u2019s house the following day, she told them she breeds and sells dogs, with about 20 of the animals located at her residence; though the dogs were found to be well cared for, that collection included the two dogs she snatched, deputies said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comer faces charges of unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling and two counts of grand theft.
