Howard Frankland Bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On February 26, 2023, at 2:45 AM, Vehicle 1, a Ford sedan, was traveling northbound on I-275 near Milepost 36.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/HFB-Fatal-Crash-Feb-26.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-30537\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/HFB-Fatal-Crash-Feb-26.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/HFB-Fatal-Crash-Feb-26-225x300.jpg 225w\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicles 2 and 3, a Chevrolet SUV and a Ford SUV respectively, were traveling northbound ahead of Vehicle 1.&nbsp; Traveling at a high rate of speed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vehicle 1 overtook and collided with the rear of Vehicle 2.&nbsp; Post-impact, Vehicle 2 rotated to and collided with the outside barrier wall before erupting in flames.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After impacting Vehicle 2, Vehicle 1 rotated across the travel lanes and collided with Vehicle 3.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following that collision, Vehicle 1 rotated to final rest along the outside shoulder while Vehicle 3 was driven to a controlled stop.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A passenger traveling in Vehicle 2 suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Driver 1, Alexander John Fatal Hillsborough &#8211; Howard Frankland Bridge, aged 29 of Land O Lakes, was later arrested by FHP Troopers for DUI, DUI Property Damage, DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All lanes of the Howard Frankland Bridge were reopened at 8:45 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Driver 2 \u2013 Male, 33 of Tampa, Minor injury<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passenger in Vehicle 2 \u2013 Male 41, of Tampa, Fatal Injury<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Driver 3 \u2013 Male, 46 of Tampa, No injury<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Passenger in Vehicle 3 \u2013 Female, 45 of Tampa<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On February 26, 2023, at 2:45 AM, Vehicle 1, a Ford sedan, was traveling northbound on I-275 near Milepost 36.&nbsp;
