\u201cHe has totally changed my life,\u201d Stirling said. \u201cI thank God a hundred times over for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kamryn was one of two twins born 13 weeks premature. He miraculously survived but has lived with the medical consequences ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He\u2019s visually impaired, suffers occasional seizures, and uses a mobility chair to get around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBut, you know, above all that, he\u2019s here, and he\u2019s mine,\u201d Stirling said.<\/p>\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nRight now, however, Stirling \u2014 who lives in Lakeland \u2014 worries she will lose Kamryn because of the problem that sits in her driveway: a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kamryn needs the specialized van to get to doctor’s appointments in Tampa, which are vital to his survival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The van cranks sometimes but not always. Even when it does, the fumes that enter the car are intoxicating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve already had to cancel like three appointments last week \u2014 his blood work for like three different doctors I\u2019ve had to cancel so far because of the van, and it\u2019s like being stuck,\u201d Stirling said Monday. \u201cI haven\u2019t been able to use it for about the past two weeks because it\u2019s broken.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Family members have tried to fix it, and Stirling has paid more than $500 on parts. However, nothing has worked, and Stirling doesn\u2019t have the money to take the car to a mechanic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFinancially, I can\u2019t do it anymore. It\u2019s hard to do that when I know he\u2019s got an appointment that\u2019s coming up,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve cried so much. It\u2019s almost like I\u2019m cried out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a last resort, she set up a GoFundMe page. If she can raise enough money, she would use the funds to buy a newer van for Kamryn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI don\u2019t want to lose him. I can\u2019t lose him. This is my best friend,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, she\u2019s hoping for a miracle to keep her miracle child alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
