The Mocs responded with a 7-2 run to draw the set even at 15, igniting a battle that continued to 24-24. The Tars earned two points on kills from Marlee Johnson and Candace Doxey to take the first set, 26-24.<\/li>
The second set saw an even closer back-and-forth affair that saw eight lead changes and 12 tie scores. The Tars rallied late with a 4-1 run to go ahead 24-23 and earn set point, but three-straight points from the Moccasins on a service ace and two Rollins errors gave them the second-set win, 26-24, over the home side.<\/li>
After 12 tie scores and seven lead changes to start the third set at 13-13, the Moccasins streaked away with the lead, mounting a 9-2 run to hold a comfortable 22-15 lead.
