Probably because my childhood nicknames from my family are mostly some variations of \u201cAshersmash\u201d, \u201cSmashley\u201d, or \u201cSmash\u201d. I feel like I see smash cocktails everywhere these days and for good reason. And oh my! Summer hit with a fury, didn\u2019t she? With temperatures in the 90\u2019s, humidity in the 80\u2019s and thunderstorms daily, when it comes to cocktails ice cold is non-negotiable. This Smash delivers! This fruity drink is slightly sweet and kicked up with the fizzy action from my favorite drink topper, ginger beer. One sip of this&nbsp;Ginger Peach Whiskey Smash&nbsp;and you\u2019ll be flooded with warm summer memories. And per my usual I will give you a little tip: if you are craving this libation out of season or just feeling lazy you can substitute peach nectar for fresh peaches, but I encourage you to try it with fresh peaches if you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ingredients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 -5 pieces of fresh peach, very ripe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 thin lemon slice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 ounces whiskey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-2 ounces ginger beer (I prefer Goslings)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fresh mint (optional garnish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the bottom of a rocks glass, muddle together a few peach slices and lemon slice, until pulverized. &nbsp;Add the bourbon and stir.<br>Fill your glass with crushed ice and top it off with ginger beer.
