The branch replaces the existing South Lakeland eLibrary in the Lake Miriam Shopping Center as its lease ends this year. It will close on Saturday, Sept. 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/download-1.webp?resize=1000%2C563&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34470\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">City commissioners unanimously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lakelandgov.net\/portals\/CityClerk\/City%20Commission\/Agendas\/2023\/04-03-23\/04-03-23%20V-A%20Rec%20re%20Award%20of%20Bid%203045%20for%20Kelly%20Rec%20to%20Strickland%20Construction.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">approved a recommendation<\/a>&nbsp;from the city manager to construct a new eLibrary back in an April 2023 meeting. The $140,948 Kelly Recreation Interior Renovation project&nbsp;will add&nbsp;reading materials, self-service book lockers, technology services, and a seating area to the existing Activity Room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking for your next read or a new hobby?
