Ron DeSantis has appointed Roger Gannam of Apopka to serve as a judge on the Sixth District Court of Appeal in Lakeland. He fills the vacancy created by DeSantis\u2019 selection of former Chief Judge Meredith Sasso to a place on the Florida Supreme Court.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px\" src=\"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/RogerGannam-1.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34595\" style=\"width:372px;height:261px\" width=\"372\" height=\"261\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gannam has served since 2016 as assistant vice president of Legal Affairs for Liberty Counsel, a nonprofit that engages in litigation to promote evangelical Christian values. He previously worked as a Partner with the Lindell &amp; Farson law firm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gannam earned a bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of North Florida and a law degree from the University of Florida.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Gov.
