ACE partnered with\u00a0Able Flight<\/a>, a unique organization that shares a similar belief that learning to fly is a life-changing experience. This partnership will enable those with physical disabilities an opportunity to earn their Light Sport Pilot Certificate in a customized aircraft that meets their physical needs, instruction from volunteer certified instructors, and the ability to continue experiencing the joy and independence of flight. The mission of ACE is to engage, educate and accelerate the next generation of aerospace professionals. Able Flight\u2019s success in engaging and educating individuals with disabilities in flight training is unparalleled. Together, we have the opportunity to truly change lives by combining our core competencies. A modified Zenith 750 is currently being built at the ACE Campus by students ranging in age from 8 to 18. The aircraft has been named the \u201cSpirit of Lakeland\u201d honoring and reflecting the long-standing commitment of the City of Lakeland to aviation.\u00a0Click here<\/a>\u00a0to read more about this project.

CONTEST DETAILS: Submission dates are from October 1 to November 15, 2019. All entries are to be submitted to the Aerospace Center for Excellence and becomes the property of ACE. ACE reserves the right to modify the design as necessary. A design and winner will be selected on or about November 15, 2019. Download a blank entry template\u00a0here<\/a>.
