<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\u201cThrough our investigations, we have found that President Biden did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family\u2019s foreign business dealings,\u201d McCarthy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following months of investigations surrounding Biden and his family, McCarthy said House Republicans have \u201cuncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden\u2019s conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI do not make this decision lightly,\u201d McCarthy said. \u201cRegardless of your party, or who you voted for, these facts should concern all Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
McCarthy said that eyewitnesses have testified that the president \u201cjoined on multiple phone calls, and had multiple interactions, dinners resulted in cars and millions of dollars\u201d with his son, Hunter, and Hunter\u2019s business partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The speaker said bank records show that \u201cnearly $20 million\u201d in payments were directed to the Biden family and associates \u201cthrough various shell companies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
McCarthy said \u201cdespite the serious allegations,\u201d Biden\u2019s family has been offered \u201cspecial treatment\u201d by the Biden administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption and they warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives,\u201d McCarthy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., said<\/a> the evidence against the president and his family is \u201calready overwhelming and this step long overdue.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI support taking the investigation to the next level and impeachment against Biden\u2019s corruption and policy failures in office,\u201d Mills said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., said<\/a> the impeachment inquiry \u201cneeds to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBased on the evidence and testimony I have seen as a member of oversight\u2026 Biden NEEDS to be impeached,\u201d Luna said in July.<\/a> \u201cHe is compromised and his son is selling access to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., who is on the House Oversight Committee that\u2019s leading the investigation into the Biden family\u2019s alleged corruption, was asked Tuesday during an interview on Newsmax if there is enough evidence to \u201cat least start the inquiry\u201d of Biden\u2019s impeachment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYeah, 100%,\u201d Donalds said.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe purpose of the impeachment inquiry is to give the Judiciary Committee more ability, broader subpoena power, to get all of the necessary information in to see if you have actual articles of impeachment and I believe that we do,\u201d Donalds continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last week, Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz questioned whether House Republicans will have the \u201csufficient spine to do what is necessary.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have bank records. We have flight logs. We have changes in administration policy. If we aren\u2019t willing to impeach Joe Biden with the evidence we have, why were we even looking?\u201d Gaetz said.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
