McCausland is among\neight people arrested at a Brandon area hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">27 years as an employee at Lakeland city hall, almost 18\nyears as City Attorney, 69-year-old Timothy McCausland may have to some major explaining\nto his bosses and taxpayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Undercover Hillsborough deputies posted a fake ad on an\nadult escort site. They say, when McCausland and the others showed up for sex,\nthey instead found a deputy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCausland was released on a $250.00 bond. Booking #2019-34214<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCausland, who makes almost $223,000 per year at the city,\nlives in an upscale Bartow neighborhood<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McCausland is charged with public solicitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A spokesman for the City of Lakeland said city leaders say\nthey will decide his fate at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lakeland City Attorney Timothy J.
