On Sunday, September 24th, PCSO deputies responded to a residential area in the area of Mercury Drive and Galloway Road in Lakeland, after an armed disturbance was reported.<\/p>\n\n\n

It was reported that\u00a027-year-old Dominic Goings<\/strong>\u00a0had gotten into a verbal argument with a 14-year-old girl in front of his home after the girl’s motorbike stalled out and she tried to restart it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the argument, two adults approached, and Goings was said to have pointed a firearm at them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to their statements, Goings then pointed the gun in the air and fired it once, pushed one of the victims, and fired another round into the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three victims ran away and called the Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goings admitted to deputies that he argued with the others, and initially denied firing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deputies located an ammo-casing at the scene where the argument occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goings was arrested and he was going to jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gun was located inside Goings’ residence and it was discovered that the firearm had been reported stolen out of Martin County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dominic Going is a convicted felon (robbery) out of Indiana. He is an admitted gang member and was also found to be in possession of marijuana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goings was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (3 counts), Battery, Discharging a Firearm in a Residential Area, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Grand Theft, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
