Hello all! I actually live in Texas, but I need help from the Polk County community. I don\u2019t really know if this is right place to post this or even exactly what I\u2019m looking for, but here goes: Over 30 years ago my aunt (my mom\u2019s sister) was murdered in Polk County. I will attach the screenshot from the official Polk County cold case website with info & dates, a newspaper article, plus a photo of her in her mid 20s. **Photo has been cleared up and enhanced as it was old and fuzzy.<\/p>\n\n\n

I am just looking for any information I can find. Maybe someone was around back then that remembers this case? Has newspaper clippings? Maybe even someone remembers her? Worked with her? Or remembers where she lived? I know she lived in Winter Haven, newspaper lists address as 640 Ave I NW in Winter Haven. One newspaper article says it\u2019s an apartment, but it appears to be a house according to google map image. Maybe someone remembers her from the Wagon wheel Tavern where she worked at the time?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I sent an email a week ago to the cold case unit to inquire about any possible progress on her case, but have not yet received a response. I imagine they are very busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If anyone knows anything, remembers her, or even has old photos of the area or tavern where she used to work, please reach out on this post or via messenger. My grandparents have passed away & my mom & other aunts & uncles are aging, so I\u2019d love to finally get some closure for them (and justice for her). Any help is appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n
