‘We know who you are,’ Quinn Mitchell said he was told<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 15-year-old aspiring journalist who once made Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis <\/a>uncomfortable with a pointed question was kicked out of a Republican event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quinn Mitchell <\/a>was escorted out of the First in the Nation Leadership Summit in Nashua, New Hampshire, on Friday by police.<\/p>\n\n\n

DeSantis, who attended the event, has had his eye out for Mitchell ever since the teenager asked him in June at a previous New Hampshire appearance if he believed that Donald Trump ”\u00a0violated the peaceful transfer of power<\/a>, a key principle of American democracy that we must uphold” when Trump worked to overturn the presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DeSantis’ answer completely dodging the query made the rounds online \u2014 and the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, during a July 4 parade, Mitchell complained to CNN <\/a>that he was subjected to “intimidation” by DeSantis security, which he believed restricted his rights to free speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then he was bounced from the latest New Hampshire event, which surprised him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“‘We know who you are,” Mitchell said he was told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Really stupid they did it again,” he tweeted Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wasn’t doing anything wrong, he insisted and said his mom would never bring him to another political event if he had been disruptive. “Not my style,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jimmy Thompson, a spokesperson for the New Hampshire Republican Party, told the New York Times <\/a>that Mitchell’s ejection from the GOP event had been a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During the course of the two-day event, an overzealous volunteer mistakenly made the decision to have Quinn removed from the event, thinking he was a ‘Democrat tracker,'” Thompson wrote in a text message to the newspaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mitchell was allowed back into the event, where he was “free to enjoy the rest of the summit,” said Thompson, and apparently live to spar with DeSantis another day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
