The Florida Southern men’s golf team is currently ranked 19th<\/sup> in the country, according to the Golfstat Division II Poll, which includes all events through Oct. 15. The Mocs have an adjusted scoring average of 73.47, through three events this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mocs highest finish so far this season was a first place tie at the Cougar Invitational presented by AFLAC. FSC had earlier placed sixth at the 2019 Doc Gimmler Men’s Golf Classic, which featured 12 Division I teams, and 13th<\/sup> place at the Copperhead Classic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshman Chris Fosdick<\/a> and sophomore Johnny Tucker<\/a> are both ranked as individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fosdick is ranked 29th<\/sup> in the country, with an adjusted scoring average of 71.89. He shot a one-under 69 in Round Three of the Doc Gimmler, leading the Moccasins to a sixth place team finish. Individually he finished tied for fifth place, just one stroke behind the leaders. Fosdick then finished one-under at the Cougar Invitational presented by AFLAC, and placed in an eighth place tie at the Copperhead Classic, finishing three over par.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tucker finds himself ranked 65th best in Division II. His best personal finish so far this fall was seventh place, at the Copperhead Classic. He shot one-over for the three rounds, as he made par 31 times and added 11 birdies. Earlier in the fall, at the Cougar Invitational presented by AFLAC, he posted a one-under performance, in a tie for 13th<\/sup> place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
