{"id":3817,"date":"2019-10-18T23:00:32","date_gmt":"2019-10-19T03:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/?p=3817"},"modified":"2019-10-18T23:00:48","modified_gmt":"2019-10-19T03:00:48","slug":"fsc-mens-swimming-beats-rival-rollins-158-101","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/2019\/10\/18\/fsc-mens-swimming-beats-rival-rollins-158-101\/","title":{"rendered":"FSC Men&#8217;s Swimming Beats Rival Rollins, 158-101"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Florida Southern College men&#8217;s swimming team easily handled visiting Rollins College on Friday afternoon, 158-101, in a meet held at Florida Southern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=276%2C276&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2148\" width=\"276\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?w=400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Mocs-FSC.png?resize=250%2C250&amp;ssl=1 250w\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HOW IT HAPPENED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Mocs swept the podium in four events: the 200-free, the 100-back, the 100-free, and the 100-fly.<\/li><li>Freshman&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/prostran_luka_jms4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Luka Prostran<\/a>&nbsp;was a double-winner, claiming the gold in the 1000-free in 9:44.90, and the 500-free in 4:44.03.<\/li><li>Junior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_carlos_pl6l\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carlos Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;won the 200-free in 1:43.40, then returned to win the 100-free in 47.12.<\/li><li>Junior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/lopez_matias_4qjn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matias Lopez<\/a>&nbsp;was the fastest in the 100-back in just 52.46 seconds, then returned to win the 200-back in 1:54.13.<\/li><li>Junior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/bernotti_miguel_iriu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miguel Bernotti<\/a>&nbsp;won the 200-fly with a time of 1:53.02, and placed second in the 100-fly in 51.40.<\/li><li>Senior&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/hamilton_talor_2jrp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Talor Hamilton<\/a>&nbsp;sprinted to a 21.22 in the 50-free, the top time of the day. He later won the 100-fly in just 51.33.<\/li><li>Sophomore&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/fscmocs.prestosports.com\/sports\/mswim\/2019-20\/bios\/saslo_jj_x2ue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JJ Saslo<\/a>&nbsp;was second fastest in the 50-free, racing to a 21.79 time, and was third in the 100-fly in 52.03.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UP NEXT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The regularly scheduled meet with Saint Leo for tomorrow, Oct. 19, has been postponed due to the alleged storm blowing through.
