As part of the reorganization, the board adopted a resolution authorizing Braswell to sign checks and official documents for the county. This is a standard procedure in the board&#8217;s annual reorganization to ensure a seamless leadership transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">George Lindsey, the previous chair, has served three four-year terms on the board, including three times as chair. His term limit as a county commissioner will be reached in November 2024. Lindsey has played a significant role in guiding the county&#8217;s growth and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his acceptance speech, Braswell thanked Lindsey for his service and acknowledged his contribution to the county&#8217;s development.
