(Photo by Tom Hagerty, Polk State.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After a scoreless first half, the Silver Storm took a 1-0 lead on a goal in the 47<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Eagles answered in the 55<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;minute when Angelina Cortez scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASA scored the winning goal in the 60th minute and added another in the 74<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ASA took 18 shots and had seven goalkeeper saves. Polk State had 12 shots and 13 saves by goalkeeper Celeste Chiles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the contest, sophomores Cassandra Bernardo, Matti Campbell, Celeste Chiles, Samantha Gutierrez, Malia Murphy, Daniela Ramos, Ciarra Rava, Alexis Smith, Zariya Smith, Xiomara Lewis-Ruggiano received on-field recognition with their friends and families.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Eagles (0-8-1) return to action Oct. 22 against Broward College (3-4-2) in the NJCAA District\/FCSAA State Tournament.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Polk State soccer ended the regular season with a 2-1 loss to ASA College (Miami) in Lakeland yesterday on Sophomore Night.
