A 31-year-old female victim reported that her 12-year-old daughter frantically came into her room and said a man broke her bedroom window and came inside. The victim did not know the suspect and began screaming at him to get out of the apartment. However, the situation further escalated as the suspect began choking the victim. The victim\u2019s daughter fought to get the suspect off her mother during the struggle that resulted in the victim being bitten by the suspect.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"414\" height=\"512\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1110px) 100vw, 1110px\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/408076311_377679317982585_3697790236670427698_n.jpg?resize=414%2C512&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39907\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/408076311_377679317982585_3697790236670427698_n.jpg?w=414&amp;ssl=1 414w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakelandgazette.info\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/408076311_377679317982585_3697790236670427698_n.jpg?resize=243%2C300&amp;ssl=1 243w\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspect then left the apartment and forcefully entered another nearby apartment within the complex, where a 20-year-old female confronted him before he fled the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responding officers quickly found the suspect, Damian Gamaliel (36 years old), nearby exhibiting erratic behavior, suggesting possible substance ingestion. Despite resistance, officers successfully apprehended Gamaliel. He was subsequently arrested for Burglary with Assault\/Battery and Burglary to an Occupied Structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gamaliel, a Lakeland resident did not reside at the apartment complex.
